One of the oldest and largest mosque in India. Makkah Masjid is a listed as one of the heritage building in the old city of Hyderabad.

The mosque was name as the commissioned bricks to be made from the soil were brought from Mecca, the holiest site of Islam and were used in the construction of the central arch of the mosque.
