The shore temple is a complex of temples and shrines that overlooks the shore of the Bay of Bengal.

The temple structures were built from granite blocks. At the time of its creation back in the 8th century AD, the site was known for its busy port. It is one of the oldest structural (versus rock-cut) stone temples of South India.
“If you walk on the correct path, you can see the presence of God in every part of the world.”
The other side of the monument are the shore villages. The main routines of the villagers are fishing in the deep Sea of Bengal.
